Madeline Cline in Mendocino Community

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I have a lifetime commitment to Mendocino County. I was born and raised in Mendocino County, and I am proud to call it my home. Like so many of you, my life has been defined by the opportunities and blessings we all share as residents of Mendocino County.

I have spent much of my adult life working on some of the toughest public policy issues facing our community. I went to work on these issues knowing how important they were to communities like ours. We face significant challenges, but I know with the right leadership, we can preserve our county as a place where anyone can start a family, grow their business, and build the life they want to live.

My father, Eric Cline, was a shining example of someone who worked tirelessly for both his family and community. In 2021, he was remodeling the new community space in Potter Valley, Headwaters. He grew up in Potter Valley, and he knew the importance of creating shared spaces and opportunities for families in rural communities. Part way through the project, my dad was diagnosed with cancer and passed away after a fast and aggressive battle. To honor my dad, we asked for donations to the Center in his memory. We received overwhelming support from hundreds of community members, and it reaffirmed for me what a special bond we all share here in Mendocino County. It solidified for me that this is where I belong and the place I want to fight for.

I am running for Supervisor to preserve that sense of community, that shared love of Mendocino, and continue the legacy of so many residents, including my dad, who stepped up to give back to this place we all love.

I look forward to sharing more about my story and ideas for our community in the months to come. I hope to earn your vote.
